The 2018 {heart} Your Skin Challenge!

Happy November! It may only be November, but if the rest of the year has been any indication, the last couple of months of the year will likely pass us by before we know it.

With a new year around the corner, I find that many of my clients and readers are eager to start new skin care habits. The new year is a great time to turn over a new leaf and start taking care of (or better care of) your skin. In anticipation of this, I've been working on something really exciting - a 12-week skin care challenge to help you achieve your best skin in 2018!

It's completely free and easy to join. If you're already on board, just follow this link to get on the list. Want a little more info about what a skin care challenge entails, exactly? No worries. Here's what you need to know:

Learn About Your Skin

Skin care can be overwhelming. Sometimes even the best products and treatments don't work, if they aren't correct for your skin type or concerns. Each week, we'll cover various lifestyle aspects that impact the skin, helping you crack the code on hidden causes of breakouts, aging and other common skin woes. The challenge is all about arming you with information and letting you apply it to your own skin care, as you see fit.

Build a Custom Skin Care Routine

The primary goal of my skin care challenge is to help you build an at-home skin care routine that works for you! Because home care is really the foundation of beautiful skin, I believe that achieving great skin starts with what you use (or don't use) on a regular basis.

For twelve weeks, I'll be sending out a weekly email breaking down a different step in skin care. Starting at the beginning with the basics, and then adding on. Participation is entirely up to you. You can incorporate as few or as many steps as you would like. I will walk you through why each step is important, but that doesn't mean you have to do them all. The challenge is all about figuring out what works for YOU. And what doesn't.

Get Help Picking Products

Along with each week's product breakdown, I'll provide a few recommendations for products along with a link (and maybe even discount code!). If you don't want to use the products recommended, not a problem!  I will also be giving you pointers on ingredients to look for and what to avoid, when shopping for product on your own.

We'll talk about budgeting for skin care as well. What products are worth the splurge, what to DIY and what you can skip if pennies are tight.

Learn New Tips & Tricks

If you're thinking this all sounds neat, but you've already got a routine that you love, you can still participate! Each week, I'll give you beginner, intermediate and advanced tips for using different products. So whether you're a newbie or an old pro, there will be something for everyone! The challenge can also be used to uplevel, what's already working for you.

As a skin care therapist and beauty guru, I am always on the hunt for new methods and techniques. I'll be doing additional research as we go and sharing my findings as they relate to each week's challenge.

Support & Community
When starting new habits, it sometimes helps to have a buddy system. Because consistency is key, checking in with weekly emails is a great way to hold yourself accountable. For the duration of the challenge, I will be encouraging you and cheering you on. I will also be starting a private Facebook group and making myself available for challengers to post questions or troubleshoot their routine. We are all on our skin care journey together!

Self Care is Self Love

I preach about the importance of self-care a lot. But as I think about goals for this challenge, what I am most excited about is the magic that can happen when you get to know your skin, start taking care of it and start feeling beautiful in it.

Twelve weeks is a good amount of time to create change and transformation in the skin on the outside, but I'm just as concerned with how it makes you feel inside. By taking time for yourself over the course of 12 weeks, I hope you'll find that a little bit of self-care can change the way you feel and how you carry yourself day-to-day. You deserve to look and feel good and I hope this challenge can help you do just a little more of that.

Oh and there is a grand prize...
If all of the above just isn't enough incentive to join my challenge. Perhaps I can sweeten the deal?

One lucky local winner, who submits before and after photos from their challenge, will win a FREE YEARLONG MEMBERSHIP at i {heart} skin. Entering this portion of the challenge is completely optional. You do not have to submit anything and can simply play along at home. That said, I encourage everyone to track their progress with Before & After photos, regardless of whether or not you submit them.

I also encourage you to still follow along on the challenge if you don't live in Denver. Because this challenge revolves almost entirely around home care, you can participate anywhere. I will also have a gift prize for the best transformation among non-Denver participants.

So if all of this sounds great, or even if you are on the fence, I encourage you to sign up today and follow along!  Your only commitment is to receive weekly emails. You can opt-out at any time, but I'm hoping you'll stick around with us all the way to the glowy finish line!
